St Nicholas Warwick

The top section of the spire was taken down and rebuilt as it was found to be structurally unsafe. On dismantling, each stone was assessed individually and replacements worked in new stone where necessary.

Following the rebuilding works, the spire was re-pointed internally and externally and new cross trees installed. The jambs and hood moulds of the four tower openings were restored, and the louvres and bird proof netting were replaced.

Repairs were also undertaken to the tower pinnacles. each of the four ornately carved corner pinnacle were dismantled and rebuilt incorporating stainless steel fixings. The stones were inspected closely by the architect, and those which were in poor condition were replaced with new carved stones produced in our workshop.
